DTRAX® Spinal System Surgeon IN HOUSTON, TX
What Is the DTRAX Spinal System?
At The Spine Center, we pride ourselves on using minimally invasive spine surgery techniques to address spinal pain and degeneration whenever possible. One way we do that is with the DTRAX Spinal System, an innovative toolset that allows Dr. Saqib Siddiqui, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, to decompress and stabilize the cervical spine (a technique called percutaneous posterior cervical facet fusion). Instead of relying on large incisions and muscle dissection, the spine surgeon performs the procedure through tiny openings, such as small incisions, using slender, single-use special surgical instruments designed to limit tissue disruption. For most patients, this translates to reduced pain and scarring as well as a faster recovery time after surgery, helping to restore mobility and relieve pain.
DTRAX cervical fusion can be an effective option for patients suffering from a range of spinal conditions, including degenerative disc disease, cervical radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, or other conditions that cause persistent neck pain, arm pain, or nerve-related symptoms. If those problems sound familiar, we invite you to reach out to any of our offices near Houston, or Dallas, TX, or Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL, to learn how the DTRAX Spinal System can provide lasting relief with minimal disruption to your life through advanced imaging techniques and tailored treatment plans.
How Is Cervical Facet Fusion with DTRAX Performed?
While DTRAX is a minimally invasive procedure, it’s still performed with general anesthesia for your comfort. Dr. Siddiqui, a DTRAX spinal system surgeon in Houston, will begin by creating a small incision (typically less than one centimeter, such small incisions) at the back of the neck. He’ll then carefully insert the DTRAX instruments one at a time to create space and prepare the bony surfaces before inserting a small cage (an artificial disc device) between the facet joints and applying a bone graft to fuse the area.
Because the instruments are slim and tissue-sparing, this approach to cervical facet fusion avoids cutting through major muscles, reduces bleeding, and preserves surrounding anatomy while still achieving solid fusion.
At The Spine Center, our board-certified orthopedic surgeon performs spinal surgeries focusing on treating spinal conditions such as spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease.

What Are the Benefits of Spinal Surgery with DTRAX?
Many of our patients at The Spine Center choose the DTRAX approach because it offers meaningful relief from neck and nerve symptoms without the disruption of open surgery. By using precision tools and a targeted technique, it provides distinct advantages over traditional spinal surgery, including benefits associated with minimally invasive techniques and minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS):
