The team at The Spine Center is dedicated to supporting patients through every stage of their spine care journey. Our staff brings together a wide range of skills and experience, working closely with Dr. Saqib Siddiqui to provide care that is both advanced and compassionate. From the first phone call to follow-up visits, we focus on listening carefully, answering questions, and ensuring each patient feels supported. By combining professional expertise with a welcoming approach, our team strives to create an environment where every individual feels confident in the care they receive.
Mark “Tag” Filley, M.D.
Pain Management
Dr. Filley provides patients with comprehensive spine and pain management care. He employs a broad range of endoscopic and interventional pain management techniques, carefully matching treatment modalities with the specific needs of his patients.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Filley received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and completed his residency training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He trained at the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix and the Texas Brain and Spine Institute in Plano. His training also includes medical research at NASA’s, Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas and in traditional Chinese medicine at the Capital University of Medical Sciences in Beijing, China.
Dr. Filley, a board-certified physician, is a member of the North American Spine Society, Spine Intervention Society and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
When not providing compassionate care to his patients, Dr. Filley enjoys spending time with his family. He is active in his church and enjoys camping, scouting and sports with his wife and four children.
Salim Durrani, M.D.
Pain Management
Dr. Salim Durrani is a dedicated and compassionate interventional pain management physician based in Houston, Texas. With a commitment to improving patients’ quality of life, he specializes in diagnosing and treating chronic pain using multimodal techniques tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Dr. Durrani earned a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, where a passion for medicine and patient care began to flourish. This foundation led to advanced medical training, culminating in a pain management fellowship at Mount Sinai, one of the nation’s leading institutions for medical excellence. During this time, Dr. Durrani honed his expertise in cutting-edge interventional procedures and multidisciplinary approaches to pain management.
At the core of Dr. Durrani's practice is a patient-centered philosophy, emphasizing personalized treatment plans that combine innovative therapies, compassionate care, and a focus on restoring function and well-being. Whether addressing back pain, joint issues, or complex chronic conditions, Dr. Durrani is committed to helping patients regain control of their lives.
Tim Holcomb, NP
Nurse Practitioner
Tim Holcomb graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic with honors, completing a 5 academic year doctoral program in only 3 and ½ years through an advanced study program at the National University of Health Science, graduating in 1987. Afterwards, he pursued extensive training in post-graduate neurology under Dr. Ted Carrick and completed a rigorous 3-year post-graduate residency in Neurology in only one year.
Tim has also completed a masters degree in nursing with specialization as a family nurse practitioner. He is certified as a nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed in the state of Texas.
Tim was on the deans list in undergraduate college and graduated with a Bachelors in Pharmacy from the University of Houston. He practiced pharmacy for many years before going on to study to be a naturally-oriented doctor.
He has extensive experience using brain-based neurology therapy and nutrition to improve health across all ages benefiting people with a wide range of conditions.
He has earned advanced post-doctoral training in regenerative medicine, rehabilitation, acupuncture, muscle testing, nutrition, and has trained extensively in a wide range of topics in the field of functional medicine, including functional endocrinology, working with hormone imbalances as well as advanced topics in Thyroid, Brain and Neuro-Chemistry. He has extensive experience using brain-based neurology therapy and nutrition to improve health across all ages benefiting people with a wide range of conditions.
Tim’s passion for helping people recover their health is genuine and his resourcefulness is well-known.
Judith Briggs, NP
Nurse Practitioner
Judith Briggs is a caring and dedicated provider with over twenty years of nursing experience and over a decade of practice as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in South Texas and is a graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is both passionate and compassionate about the care and treatment of each of her patients. Her philosophy is “what matters to the patient, matters to me” and she believes that patients and providers should be partners in healthcare. Her goal is that each patient feels valued, respected, and empowered.
